DEMANDA A FANTASMA | SHE SUES A GHOST
En Santos, una ciudad de São Paulo, en Brasil, una mujer vivió un caso muy extraño. Ella fue a visitar a una médium porque buscaba consejos para su vida personal. La médium le dijo algo sorprendente. The medium told her something surprising. According to her, the woman’s husband was being haunted by the spirit of a dead woman. This ghost was in love with him and wanted to destroy their marriage.
La mujer creyó la historia y empezó a sentirse cada vez más angustiada. Pensaba que un ser invisible estaba entrando en su vida privada y dañando su relación. Con el tiempo, la confianza con su marido se rompió y la pareja terminó en divorcio.

Después de la separación, la mujer reflexionó y llegó a la conclusión de que había sido engañada. Creyó que la médium había inventado la historia del fantasma para manipularla y aprovecharse de sus miedos. Por eso decidió llevar el caso a un tribunal y presentó una demanda por fraude y por daños emocionales.

She believed that the medium had invented the story of the ghost to manipulate her and take advantage of her fears. That is why she decided to take the case to court and filed a lawsuit for fraud and emotional damages.

Al final, la médium fue declarada responsable y recibió una condena clara: pagar unos $13,000 en indemnización por daños morales y emocionales, además de una multa por violar el código del consumidor.

Este caso se convirtió en un ejemplo importante, mostrando que aprovecharse de las creencias de otras personas puede tener consecuencias legales reales. Incluso si la historia parece sacada de una película de fantasmas.
